The clamp-based mechanism ensures a secure lock.
Marine loading operations often take place under time pressure and in dynamic conditions. Operators need connection systems that are easy to handle, reduce manual effort and minimise the risk of errors during coupling and uncoupling.
Wiese quick connect/disconnect couplers (QCDC) are designed to ensure a safe and reliable connection between the loading arm and the vessel. The system uses a clamp-based mechanism to securely lock onto the ship’s flange, providing a stable and leak-tight connection during transfer.
To support safe and efficient handling, the coupler is manually operated with a controlled wrench action, or or hydraulically operated, giving operators full control during connection. Additional guide rings help align and centre the ship’s flange, making the coupling process smoother and reducing the risk of misalignment.
Our quick couplings help you:
- ensure a safe and secure connection between ship and shore
- reduce connection time while maintaining full operator control
- minimise the risk of leaks during connection and disconnection
- improve reliability in dynamic marine conditions
Engineering approach
Each quick coupling is engineered based on your specific marine application, taking into account flange type, loads, media and operational setup.
We focus on:
- secure clamping and reliable sealing
- ease of alignment and connection
- durability in marine and offshore environments
- safe and controlled operation
